About the ACM ICPC
The ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious programming contest in the world. It is a multi-tiered, team-based, programming competition operating under the auspices of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and headquartered at Baylor University (USA). The contest involves a global network of colleges and universities hosting regional competitions that advance teams to the ACM-ICPC World Finals. Participation has grown to several tens of thousands of the finest students and faculty in computing disciplines at almost 2,330 universities from over 91 countries on six continents. The contest fosters creativity, teamwork, and innovation in building new software programs, and enables students to test their ability to perform under pressure.

The ACM ICPC Philippines is the coordinating body for ACM ICPC programming competitions in the Philippines. For the year 2015, the following ACM ICPCs are lined up:

ACM ICPC Philippines Southern Luzon Invitational Programming Contest 2015

MECHANICS (As of 9 July 2015)
1. The ACM ICPC is a team contest, consisting of 3 student contestants and a coach
2. All participating teams should register in the ACM ICPC website. See: http://icpc.baylor.edu (Under Asia/Philippines National/Provincial Contests)
3. A team may participate in at most two Philippine invitational contests prior to the Philippine national contest.
4. The top ten performing teams in each Philippine invitational contest will be given priority registration in the Philippine National contest.
5. There is a separate registration fee for every Philippine Invitational and National contest.
6. Philippine Invitational Contests will have a duration of four hours and will include eight problems.
7. The Philippine National Contest will have a duration of five hours and will include 11 problems.
8. The contest software is PC^2
9. Participating teams should be knowledgeable in any of the following programming languages: C, C++ and Java.
10. Participating teams should know how to use PC^2
11. The decision of the Board of Judges of each Philippine contest (invitational or national) is final.
