I never thought that one day I would become a concert performer...

Last September 3, 2008 some of my batchmates in highschool (PSHS Class of 1977) performed onstage at PETA Theater in Quezon City for the Pisay Concert 2 (PC2) a benefit concert which is a project of the PSHS Alumni Association.

Our group (Chloe [daughter of Cora] , Cora, Emy, Claire, Ana [aughter of Claire], Mon D., Noel O., Raffy, and Caloy) sang the following songs which became popular in the '70s: 1. Ikaw Pa Rin (by Tito Mina), 2. T.L. Ako sa Iyo, and 3. Country Roads by John Denver. When we sang Country Roads, we changed the lyrics a little bit so that Country Roads became 'Agham Road' (where PSHS is located). My batchmate, Caloy (Dr. Carlo Arcilla, Director of the National Geological Studies (NIGS) in the University of the Philippines - Diliman) impressed the audience with his rendition of the following songs: 1. Samba Song by Bong Pinera, 2. A Certain Sadness, and 3. Norwegian Wood (instrumental).

After our concert performance I told one of my batchmates jokingly: Now we can add one more line in our curriculum vitae -- "Concert Performer" :)
