FOR IMMEDIATE HIRING

The Ateneo Grid and High Performance Computing Group of the School of Science and Engineering is in need of a full-time research project assistant for the EUAsia Grid Project.

He/she will be based in Ateneo de Manila University, Loyola Heights, Quezon City.

The position's duties include:

1) Conducting research on biomedical, environmental and other applications of Grid computing
2) Assisting in organizing workshops/training/conferences related to Grid computing
3) Assisting in writing reports, research papers and project proposals
4) Assisting the AdMU EUAsiaGrid Project Coordinator

Requirements:

1) College graduate of a science or engineering course (M.S. units are an advantage) (preferably computer science or computer engineering)
2) Knowledge of computer hardware and Unix/Linux operating system
3) Knowledge of computer programming (Java and/or C++)
4) Good oral and written communication skills
5) Experience in organizing workshops and conferences is an advantage
6) Must be willing to learn

This will be a one-year engagement, with a possibility of extending to another year.
