Today (6/27/08) we had a despedida merienda (ice cream + cake) for Noel (Dr. Noel Cabral). Noel will leave for Singapore on Saturday, 28 June 2008. He will assume a post-doctoral position in Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. Noel obtained his Ph.D. in Mathematics from NTU. Like me, Noel is also an alumnus of Philippine Science High School (PSHS or Pisay) (Note: Noel belongs to Batch '87 while I am a member of Batch '77) and a faculty member of the Mathematics Department of Ateneo de Manila University.
